About United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens

United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens is a small independent hotel on Domain Road in South Yarra, with just twelve suites looking over the Royal Botanic Gardens or the neighbouring rooftops. It suits guests coming into Melbourne for a wedding, a 40th or 50th, or a work trip who would rather have a full suite than a standard room: there is a concierge to help plan the stay, daily housekeeping and an in-suite dining menu, and corporate guests can use the suites for private meetings. There are three suite types. The Urban Suite One Bedroom (66 to 72sqm) faces the rooftops and laneways of South Yarra, and the Garden Suite One Bedroom (67sqm) faces north over the gardens; both have a king bed. The Garden Suite Two Bedroom (86sqm) has a king bed in the main room and a king or twin split in the second, a sunken bath and wide views across the gardens to the city skyline. Every suite has separate living and dining areas, a kitchen and laundry, an en-suite with rain shower and a furnished terrace. Children aged 4 to 12 can share a suite using the existing bedding (up to two per suite), and cots are free for infants on request. The Royal Botanic Gardens and The Tan running track are about 200m away. The hotel's own guide puts the MCG and Rod Laver Arena about 15 minutes' walk away, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl about 1.6km and NGV International on St Kilda Road around 20 minutes on foot. There is no on-site parking: street parking is on Domain Road and Birdwood Avenue, and sister hotel The Royce offers valet parking.
