About Lancemore Crossley St.
Lancemore Crossley St. is a boutique hotel set in a laneway at the Spring Street end of the city, run by the Victorian hotel group Lancemore. Its interiors, by Carr Design Group, rework a Graeme Gunn building into more than 110 art-filled rooms, with a lobby bar, a small fitness room on level six and a rooftop terrace with daybeds looking over the city. For someone flying in for a wedding, a 40th or a gala dinner, it is a polished base with the theatres, Chinatown and a long list of restaurants right outside. There are six room types, all with signature L.M. beds, ensuites with rain showers, Hunter Lab toiletries and a stocked minibar. Some suites have their own terrace. Families or two couples travelling together can take the Two Bedroom Family Room, two connected rooms of 56 m² with a bathroom each, or the Two Bedroom Penthouse Suite on the top floor, 62 m² with a separate lounge and dining table and two outdoor terraces facing Chinatown. Wedding parties and work groups can send a group request with the number of rooms needed, and the hotel also has a boardroom for up to 12 and hosts events on the rooftop. Parliament Station is about 270 metres away and the Spring Street tram stop about 180 metres, with route 96 running to the Convention and Exhibition Centre and Southern Cross, and route 86 to Marvel Stadium. The Princess, Comedy and Her Majesty's theatres are under 200 metres off, and the MCG, Rod Laver Arena and the NGV are within a kilometre. Parking is at First Parking, 55 Bourke Street, for $27 per 24 hours once validated, and airport transfers can be arranged for a fee.
