About Crown Metropol Melbourne
Crown Metropol Melbourne is the most contemporary in style of Crown's three Southbank hotels: relaxed, design-focused and built around a heated infinity pool high above the city. It works well for guests in town for a wedding, a 30th or 40th, or a conference, with Crown's Melbourne events and weddings teams running functions in the same complex and plenty of restaurants and bars, from Silks to Mr Hive, a short walk from the lifts. The Luxe King and Luxe Twin rooms are around 40 sqm with floor-to-ceiling windows; the twin has two queen beds and takes four guests, and High Floor versions sit on the top levels for skyline views. City Luxe rooms add space and a city outlook, Urban Luxe corner rooms have two walls of glass, and the 81 sqm Loft has a lounge, dining area, enclosed bedroom, bath and powder room. Families and small groups often choose the 90 sqm Ultra Luxe, two adjoining king rooms behind a private entryway with space for four and a day bed available for another guest. At the top sits The Apartment, 184 sqm with a kitchen, lounge and dining area, buffet breakfast for two, valet parking for one car and priority check-in. The pool deck has the heated infinity pool, a spa, daybeds and drinks service, and the gym comes with change rooms, a steam room and a vitality pool open 6am to 10pm. The hotel is in Southbank beside the Yarra River and a few minutes from the city centre. Guests park with the hotel's valet, and electric vehicle charging is $30 a session for cars staying overnight.
