Choosing a House for Your Group

Big numbers are what Lovedale's holiday houses do best. On this side of wine country, north-east of Pokolbin, three country estates each offer several self-contained houses that can be booked one at a time or all together, so a wedding party, an extended family or a group of friends celebrating a 50th can sleep on one property.

How the Lovedale estates line up:

  • Lovedale Country Estate, 197 Londons Rd: houses of 6, 11 and 13 bedrooms, the largest with 10 bathrooms, around 30 beds and two kitchens
  • Ironstone Estate, 97 Olsen Rd: three homes on a 45-acre family vineyard sleeping up to 40 in total, from $1,200 per night
  • Bluebush Estate, 196 Wilderness Rd: four houses and two tiny house cabins on ten acres, up to 44 guests when the whole estate is booked
  • Pools and heat: heated pools, spas and wood-fired saunas at Lovedale Country Estate; a pool, hot tub for ten and fire pit with two of the Ironstone homes; a shared saltwater pool at Bluebush
  • Games for every age: a soccer field, volleyball court, trampoline and golf cage on Londons Road; a games room and kids playground at Ironstone's Homestead; tennis, volleyball and billiards at Bluebush

Ironstone and Bluebush both host weddings and events on their grounds, so guests can stay where the celebration happens, while Lovedale Country Estate is set up for groups making their own fun at home with barbecues and a pizza oven.

Food, drink and extras on the estates

  • No caterer is tied to Ironstone, so groups can book a private chef, a spit roast or food trucks; wine comes from the family's small-batch vineyard and other drinks are BYO
  • Bluebush's Cafe Brocante serves crêpes and barista coffee from a food truck from 7am to 4pm Friday to Sunday, and the Country House has a commercial kitchen with ILVE appliances
  • Lovedale Country Estate supplies linen, a laundered towel per guest and toiletries, with portable cots and highchairs if you ask, plus gas barbecues, an Ooni pizza oven and covered outdoor dining
  • Accessibility and pets: Ironstone's Lodge has an accessible bedroom and ensuite, and pets can come on request
