Clear allAway from the busier cellar-door roads of Pokolbin, Broke sits in the quieter Broke Fordwich wine district on Singleton's western side, and its holiday houses range from a restored vineyard cottage for four to a 25-acre estate that sleeps 22. A family in town for a wedding, friends marking a 40th or 50th, or a few couples on a reunion weekend can all find a house that fits.
What each Broke house brings to a group stay:
House rules are worth reading before the group commits. Monkey Place needs the person booking to be at least 21, wants written approval in advance for any party or function, and is not available for end-of-school celebrations, so treat it as a place to stay unless the manager agrees otherwise.

Hunter Moon Country House, which sleeps up to 22 across eight bedrooms and six bathrooms on 25 acres off Milbrodale Road. Next in size is Monkey Place Country House, built for eight to 14.
Not without asking first. Monkey Place Country House requires written approval in advance for parties and functions, the booker must be 21 or older, and it isn't available for end-of-school groups. For Hunter Moon Country House and Broke Estate, raise any celebration plans with the host before booking.
Broke Estate has a glamping site on the bank of Wollombi Brook for two: a bell tent with a queen bed and record player, a private amenities pod with kitchen, shower and eco toilet, and an outdoor fireplace on the deck. Its 1890 cottage takes up to four.
The house is managed by Unwind Hunter Valley, which handles bookings, check-in and the house rules. Catering for the group can be arranged through Monkey Place Catering.
