Clear allHaymarket puts a hens group at the southern end of the city, among the late kitchens of Chinatown, the stalls of Paddy's Markets and the open lawns of Darling Square. Two very different stays are listed here on Party Hero. YHA Sydney Central is a big heritage-building hostel facing Central station, suited to a group keeping costs down, and APX World Square is a serviced apartment building on Cunningham Street where the bride and her friends can get ready in a proper living room with a full kitchen.
Before the group chat settles on one, weigh these up:
For a getting-ready morning with hair and makeup spread across a lounge, the APX apartments make more sense; two interconnecting studios mean two bathrooms and two mirrors on the go at once. For a larger crew minding the budget, YHA keeps everyone close together and adds a rooftop pool on level 9 and a cinema room for the slow afternoon. Either way, nobody needs a car to get to dinner.

Groups of ten or more book through YHA's groups team, which can set aside an entire floor of up to 73 shared beds plus a few private rooms. The group is placed in whole rooms of its own, kept close together.
The Standard and Executive two-bedroom apartments each take up to six guests. Extra guests cost more, and occupancy has to match the booking confirmation.
Both Haymarket stays have a pool. APX World Square has a heated pool on level 3, and YHA Sydney Central has a pool and terrace up on level 9.
Parking around Haymarket is limited and paid. APX World Square has on-site parking that can't be booked ahead and depends on space at check-in, while YHA Sydney Central has a small paid car park underneath for small and medium cars, booked at reception.
