About Zagame's House

Zagame's House is a boutique hotel on Lygon Street in Carlton, run by hotelier brothers Victor and Robert Zagame. It has 97 rooms, a wine bar and restaurant, a coffee house and a 24-hour gym, and calls itself a house rather than a hotel. It suits guests coming into Melbourne for a wedding, a big birthday or a conference who want somewhere with a bit of personality, and it can host the event as well as the guests. There are five room types: the Urban King at 24 sqm, the Superior King and Superior Twin at 26 sqm, the Deluxe Corner King at 30 sqm and the Zagame's Suite at 50 sqm. Rooms have king beds with local linen and European pillows, or twin beds in the Superior Twin, plus acoustically panelled walls, a 55-inch smart TV with Chromecast, a Marshall Bluetooth speaker, oversized robes and Mr Smith bathroom products. Accessible rooms are available on request, and a limited number of rooms welcome pets. For events, two rooms named Gertrude and Harry each take up to 50 people and open into one space for up to 120, with built-in AV. The hotel hosts weddings for 20 to 100 guests, small gala dinners and residential conferences, and Lord Lygon Wine Bar can be booked too. The CBD is about 500 metres away. There are 40 on-site parking spaces at $40 per night, EV charging bays, and a reception team on hand 24 hours a day.
