About Leogate Estate
Leogate Estate is a family-owned winery on Broke Road, Pokolbin, run by Bill and Vicki Widin since 2008 on the old Brokenback Vineyard below the Brokenback Range. Alongside its cellar door, restaurant and function spaces, it lets 20 villas and a larger cottage called The Gatehouse. That makes it a practical base for a wedding or conference held on the estate, or for a group in the Hunter for a birthday or reunion who want to split between individual villas and one shared house. Most of the villas are one-bedroom studios with a king bed (twins on request), an ensuite with shower, a kitchenette, minibar and coffee facilities, a flat-screen TV, wifi and an outdoor setting on a private balcony facing the vines. One is set up as an accessible villa, and there is a single two-bedroom villa with a two-night minimum. Each comes with an allocated car park and a breakfast pack every morning. The Gatehouse sits on a rise with vineyard views in two directions and has four bedrooms with two king and two queen beds, a private bathroom for each, a full kitchen, a large living area, an alfresco dining and BBQ area, a minibar and its own parking. Check-in is from 2pm, and villa check-out is by 10am on any day but Sunday. Leogate's cellar door opens Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, so tastings happen on the same property, and the team can book cellar door experiences or arrange something special during a stay. The estate also hosts weddings, conferences and its own dining events, which guests can pair with a night or two on site.
