About Radio All-Stars Entertainment
Radio All-Stars Entertainment is the mobile DJ business of Mike James, who is also the in-house DJ at a Newcastle commercial radio station and has produced its breakfast and talk programs. His DJ career began with a mobile disco in the late 1980s, ran through a stint owning another DJ company, and became Radio All-Stars in 2019. He and his team have thousands of club, pub, wedding and private-party gigs between them. The music library is broad on purpose. Expect classic and alternative rock, pop and retro, disco and classic R&B, house, dance and mashups, plus country, metal, Arabic, Bollywood and Latin sets when the crowd suits them. Reviewers mention softer dinner music giving way to sixties, seventies and eighties floor-fillers later in the night, and a DJ who keeps taking requests. School discos from kindergarten up, Year 6 farewells and university nights sit alongside weddings, Christmas functions, awards nights and milestone birthdays from 16ths to 60ths. AV hire and event support can be added to a booking. Every quote is written and emailed with the details of the event, and the DJ is named in it. The team is insured, holds Working With Children checks and first aid, and some members hold RSA certificates. A one-third booking fee secures the date and is non-refundable, with the balance due 20 business days before the event. Tell them about stairs or difficult access when you enquire, as a stair fee applies when the gear has to be carried up.

Who will be our DJ?
The DJ is named when you book and appears in the written quote. Many bookings are played by principal DJ Mike James, and the rest of the team are experienced DJs he works with.
What music does Radio All-Stars play?
The library covers fifties rock through to current dance music: classic and alternative rock, pop, retro, disco, classic R&B, house, mashups, country, metal, Arabic, Bollywood and Latin. Requests are welcome on the night.
How is a booking secured?
A booking fee of one third of the quote, paid by card or bank transfer, confirms the date and is not refundable. Final payment is due 20 business days before the event.
Do they play school discos and farewells?
Yes. School discos for kindergarten to Year 12 and Year 6 farewells are a regular part of the calendar, and the team holds Working With Children checks for those events.
What details are needed for a quote?
Send the date, start and finish times, the venue and how the gear gets in, including any stairs or lack of a lift. For outdoor events, supplying a generator can bring the price down.
