About Time of Our Lives Events
Time of Our Lives Events is a Sydney DJ and entertainment company started in 2014 by DJ Patty E, who still heads the team of DJs. The business is run from Macquarie Park and covers events all over Sydney, with the Central Coast and Wollongong available by request. Wedding receptions make up a big part of the calendar, but the same DJs play engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, school formals and corporate functions. The DJs work with an open music brief. Expect chart hits, R&B and dance for younger guests and older classics for the rest of the room, and the team is used to mixed crowds, with Italian, Lebanese, Greek, Indian and Asian music in the collection. You fill in a music run sheet before the night, can send through any tracks they can't buy at least a week ahead, and guest requests are taken if you have given the go-ahead. The equipment is branded club gear: Technics turntables, a Rane mixer, RCF speakers and subwoofers, party and ambient lighting, plus a wireless microphone for speeches. Your DJ arrives early to set up and test everything before guests turn up. The extras are where this company differs from a solo DJ. It runs retro and classic photo booths shot on Canon DSLR cameras, silk flower wall backdrops up to 3 metres, a dry ice machine that keeps a fog layer below knee height for a first dance, indoor cold-spark fountains, uplighting and custom gobo projections of names or logos. A separate audio-visual arm hires out speakers and wireless microphones, staging, trussing, large screens, projectors, lecterns and pipe and drape, with sound engineering for presentations and bands.

Who will DJ my event with Time of Our Lives Events?
The company was founded by DJ Patty E and books its own experienced DJs. You are told in advance which DJ will play your event, and you can talk through music with them before the night.
Can the DJ play music from different cultures?
Yes. Alongside chart, R&B and dance music, the DJs play Italian, Lebanese, Greek, Indian, Asian and other international styles, and they regularly handle cross-cultural celebrations.
What happens if we want the DJ to keep playing past the booked finish?
Extra time can be arranged on the night if paid up front in cash: $50 covers the first 30 minutes, then each further 30 minutes is $100.
How do deposits and payments work?
A deposit secures the date and is not refundable. The remaining 80% is paid by bank transfer before the event or in cash once the DJ has arrived and set up. Cancelling within 21 days of the event can mean the full amount is kept.
Can we hire speakers and microphones without a DJ?
Yes. The audio-visual side of the business hires out speakers and wireless microphones, staging, lighting, screens and projectors, and can supply a sound engineer for presentations or live bands.
