About Smash Factor Indoor Golf & Bar
Smash Factor is an indoor golf centre and bar at 85 Keira Street in Wollongong. It has six golf bays running Uneekor EYE XO tracking, which reads ball and club data on every shot, in front of 5 m by 3 m screens loaded with more than 2000 courses. Players can take on famous courses, hit balls on the virtual driving range or just muck around with mates. A contoured putting green sits alongside for practice or a friendly putting competition, and the lounge bar has 10 taps of beer, plus wine, spirits and non-alcoholic options, with sport on the screens. Groups are a big part of the venue, with birthdays, bucks parties, corporate events, Christmas parties and private occasions all catered for. There are three packages for groups of 10 or more. Birdie covers two hours of golf, club use and two drinks a person, Eagle adds catering and a third drink, and Albatross adds catering and a two-hour drinks package. Each includes a setup and gameplay briefing for the group, and the team can mix in extras such as longest-drive contests, putting comps, trophies or lessons. Up to six people can share a bay, though four is recommended for the smoothest round. Bringing your own clubs is encouraged, but balls are supplied to protect the screens, and hire clubs cost $10. Drinks are served to your bay, food can be brought in or ordered in, and kids of all ages are welcome, with under-12s free alongside a paying adult. Lessons with PGA professionals and team golf leagues also run from the venue.

What do the group packages include?
All three packages give two hours of golf with clubs for groups of 10 or more. Birdie ($49 a person) adds two drinks, Eagle ($89) adds catering and three drinks, and Albatross ($119) adds catering and a two-hour drinks package.
Do we need to be good at golf?
No. The group packages include a setup and briefing on how the simulator works, and the venue promotes its birthday golf as something non-golfers enjoy too. Putting competitions are an easy option for anyone who would rather not swing a driver.
How many people can play in one bay?
A bay holds up to six players at no extra cost, but four is recommended so the round keeps moving. With more people in a bay, booking extra time helps everyone finish the round.
Can we bring food and drinks?
You are welcome to bring your own food or order it in, and a small range of chips is sold at the bar. Because the venue is licensed, outside drinks are not allowed, but drinks from the bar are brought to your bay.
Can kids play?
Yes, children are welcome at any age. Under-12s play free with a paying adult (one child per adult), and hire clubs come in kids sizes as well as mens and ladies.
