About Davistown RSL Club
Davistown RSL Club, known locally as The Davo, sits on Murna Road in Davistown, right on the waterfront foreshore. Alongside its bars, bistro and bowling greens, the club runs a functions department that hosts private events of most sizes. The main space is the Auditorium, which takes up to 350 standing, 250 for a banquet or 300 in theatre rows. A removable wall splits it into the Broadwater room, for around 150 seated, and the Davistown room, for about 80 seated. The outdoor Terrace adds another option for smaller daytime groups. The Auditorium comes with a large dance floor, a big stage and an optional catwalk, which suits formals, reception dinners and milestone birthdays. Room layouts are flexible, and windows look out across the water. Food comes from the club's Tidewater restaurant kitchen. Choose from canapé packages, a pizza and pasta menu, buffets or a plated sit-down dinner, and the chefs will adjust menus for dietary needs. Function rooms have access to their own private bar, staffed by arrangement with the events team. Each booking includes five hours in the room, a screen and projector, a microphone, Bluetooth speakers and an easel for signage. The club hosts weddings, engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events and school formals. The full Auditorium fits up to 350 standing, 250 for a banquet or 300 theatre style. The Broadwater room takes around 150 seated and the Davistown room about 80 seated, so smaller groups of 30 or so are also catered for.
What does it cost to book a function room?
Room hire is $500 for the Auditorium, $300 for the Broadwater room and $260 for the Davistown room, with no hire fee for the Terrace. Canapé packages start at $25 per person, and the full balance is due seven days before the event.
What food options are there?
The Tidewater kitchen offers canapé packages at $25 and $30 per person, a pizza and pasta menu at $38 per person and a buffet from $45 per person. Most packages need at least 30 guests, and the chefs can tailor menus to dietary needs.
Is there a bar for our group?
Yes. Each function room has access to a private bar, which the club staffs by prior arrangement. Drinks packages are also available, and the team can talk you through the options.
