About The Hydro Majestic
The Hydro Majestic sits on the edge of the escarpment at Medlow Bath, a long white hotel with domes and towers built in the early 1900s as a health retreat. Its rooms run along the ridge, so most of the function spaces face out over the Megalong Valley. The main event room is the Majestic Ballroom, a domed hall of about 380 square metres with a vaulted ceiling. It takes up to 250 guests at seated tables or around 400 for a cocktail-style party, which suits weddings, big birthdays and company dinners. The Wintergarden is a bright dining room of roughly 350 square metres with a fireplace, artworks and big windows facing the valley, and it works for high teas and formal dinners. The Boiler House, in the building that once held the hotel's steam boilers, is a casual glass-walled restaurant a short walk from the main hotel. Smaller groups can take one of the Delmonte meeting rooms or a lounge area for baby showers, gender reveals and family gatherings. For weddings the hotel has ceremony and reception spaces, with wet weather options inside. The in-house events team handles catering and drinks, with packages ranging from shared high teas to multi-course dinners and cocktail receptions. A wedding package bundles the room, serving staff, menus printed for each table, white linen, glassware and crockery, along with tea and coffee. There are 82 guest rooms, free parking and Wi-Fi, which makes overnight stays easy for guests coming up the mountains.
