About Kanimbla View Clifftop Retreat
Kanimbla View Clifftop Retreat sits on 12 acres of bush on the Shipley Plateau at Blackheath, looking out across the Kanimbla Valley. It runs as an eco-tourism retreat and can be hired in full for private events, celebrations and group stays. The centre of any event is the Lodge. Its upper level holds a dining area for up to 22 people, while the lower level is a relaxed lounge curving around the fire, with tall sash windows facing the gardens and woodland. A sound system is built into the Lodge, which also has two bathrooms and a large outdoor deck with a barbecue area. Nearby, the 76 square metre Studio works well for yoga, meditation or a breakout session. Guests can sleep on site in architect-designed three-bedroom eco cottages. The retreat's Relaxed package combines two cottages, the Studio and the Lodge, sleeping 12 to 17, with exclusive use of the tennis court, bush walks, lookouts and petanque pitch. Food is flexible. The commercial kitchen comes with crockery, cutlery, glassware, a double oven and a commercial dishwasher, so a group can cook or bring its own chef, and the retreat can also arrange catering or recommend local caterers. How many people can the Lodge seat?
The dining area on the Lodge's upper level holds up to 22 people. The lower level is an informal lounge around the fire that opens onto the garden views.
Can we bring our own caterer or cook ourselves?
Yes. The Lodge has a fully equipped commercial kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals or bring in outside caterers. The retreat can also provide catering for events and recommend local caterers.
Do we get the whole property to ourselves?
Event bookings can have exclusive use of the whole retreat, including the Lodge, the bush walks, tennis court, lookouts and petanque pitch.
Can guests stay overnight?

Very cosy, great facilities. The Lodge is a great entertaining space, and then you have the cottages to return to. Some nice short bushwalks to amazing views. Would love to return.
