About Dennarque Estate
Dennarque Estate sits on Church Lane at the top of the village of Mount Wilson, inside the Blue Mountains National Park. Its two-storey sandstone homestead is one of the first houses built in the village, and the estate keeps its gardens largely private. The grounds cover 24 acres of cool-climate garden laid out more than 140 years ago. Rare maples, rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, hydrangeas and old tree ferns give each season a different backdrop for the ceremony and for photographs. The estate concentrates on small weddings. Elopement packages suit 12 or 20 guests, while micro wedding packages are offered for 30, 40 or 50, which is the upper limit for any celebration here. Ceremonies are held outdoors in the gardens, and the glass conservatory is the reception room, seating up to 50. The simplest package covers a two-hour garden ceremony, and the next adds the conservatory for a four-hour celebration. Couples can also keep the wedding party on site. Four cottages – Koonawarra, Wisteria Lodge, Camellia Lodge and Hydrangea Cottage – sleep 12 between them, and the larger packages include one or two nights for the group.
