About Frankie & Mo's
Frankie & Mo's is a restaurant, wine bar and bottle shop on Govetts Leap Road in Blackheath. It is a deliberately small place, run by a family whose own label of natural wine starts with organic fruit they farm in the Blue Mountains. For a private party the whole venue becomes yours. Nobody else is seated while your group is in, so the room, the bar and the team are all focused on one celebration. The owners host birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties and long lunches, and they are open to almost any other reason to gather. The aim is a party that feels like one you would throw at home, except that the dishes stay with them at the end. There is no venue hire fee. Instead, the team explains exactly what you are paying for: the food, the drinks, the staff and the work that goes into running the day, with no room charge or surprise extras added on. Food comes from the restaurant kitchen, and the menu, wine list and format are planned together with you before the event. Expect the house natural wines to feature, alongside whatever style of meal suits the occasion, from a relaxed share-style lunch to a seated dinner. The restaurant normally trades from Thursday to Sunday. To start planning, send an enquiry with your date, rough numbers and the kind of gathering you have in mind, and the team will work through the details with you.

Frequently asked questions
Can we have Frankie & Mo's to ourselves?
Yes. Private parties take over the whole restaurant and wine bar, so your group is the only one in the room for the occasion.
Is there a venue hire fee?
No. The venue does not charge for the room. Your cost is made up of food, drinks, staff and the labour involved in running the event, and the team is upfront about each part.
What kinds of parties does the venue host?
The owners host birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties and long lunches, and say they are happy to hear about most other reasons to celebrate.
How are the food and wine chosen?
The team works with you on the menu, the wine and the format of the day. The idea is a gathering that feels like a party at home, with the kitchen and clean-up handled for you.
What wine is served?
The owners farm organic vines in the Blue Mountains and turn the fruit into natural wine, which they pour in the bar and sell in the bottle shop.
