About Parklands Country Gardens & Lodges
Parklands Country Gardens & Lodges is a country estate on Govetts Leap Road in Blackheath, spread across 28 acres beside the national park. A drive lined with century-old pines and maples leads to a homestead, weatherboard cottages and lawns that run down to a private lake. The Grand Marquee is the main event space, a white French-designed marquee with clear glass sides set near an oak-lined garden by the lake. It seats up to 150 for a wedding and holds up to 250 for a cocktail-style function. Inside the homestead, the Karawerra Room is an 85 square metre ground-floor function room with floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors. It opens to a glass gazebo and a courtyard with a fountain, an outdoor fireplace and a barbecue, and suits groups of 30 to 70. For ceremonies there is the Karawerra Courtyard for up to 50 and a lakeside spot with its own jetty for up to 70, set among rose gardens and orchards. A wedding coordinator helps with planning, and packages bundle serving staff, furniture with linen, a table for the cake and gifts, hot drinks and audio. Corporate groups use the country-style meeting room, which takes up to 60 theatre style, with a day delegate package that covers breaks, a working lunch, Wi-Fi and a screen. Team activities such as star gazing, biking and murder mystery nights can be added. With 28 guest rooms, a day spa and free parking, the estate also suits birthday weekends, anniversaries and engagement celebrations where guests stay over.
