Comfort Resort Leura Gardens sits on Fitzroy Street in Leura, inside 4.5 acres of landscaped gardens that have been growing for more than a century. Alongside its rooms and apartments, the resort runs Fairways Restaurant & Bar and several function rooms for meetings, weddings and private events. The Waratah Room is the larger of its two main event rooms. It measures 10 by 17 metres, about 170 square metres, with natural light and outlooks over the gardens. The layout changes to suit the event. A standing reception or a theatre-style session can take up to 200 guests, banquet tables seat up to 100, a conference set-up holds 50 and a U-shape suits 40. That range makes the room work for gala dinners, company presentations, product launches and networking functions as well as private celebrations. The resort also hosts weddings, and the room is climate controlled year round with a projection screen for presentations. Catering is arranged with the resort and tailored to each event. Guests who want to stay over can book studios, family rooms, apartments or a two-bedroom cottage, and the resort offers free on-site parking.
