About The Lookout Echo Point

The Lookout Echo Point sits on the edge of the escarpment at Echo Point in Katoomba, right beside the Three Sisters. Its rooms and terraces face across the Jamison Valley, and the venue runs weddings, engagements, milestone birthdays and corporate events. The building spreads over several levels with indoor rooms and outdoor terraces joined together. Glass doors from floor to ceiling keep the valley in view, and herb gardens frame the open-air terrace. Events can take up to 300 guests at a cocktail party or 170 seated. Because the venue has several separate spaces, it can host an exclusive event or a smaller group booking in its own area. Food is planned with the events team, from grazing feasts and canapé stations to plated seated menus. Wedding couples get a menu tasting, and there is a dedicated area for pre-dinner drinks and canapés. Each event has a dedicated bar, with cocktails made for the occasion and a wine list drawn only from New South Wales vineyards. In-house furniture is available for cocktail and seated set-ups. Couples can hold the ceremony on the terrace and the reception inside, with photo spots around the grounds. Parking sits next to the venue and there is lift access between levels.

Stopping for lunch at Echo Point was a treat in itself. I ordered the beef brisket, which was tender, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. My friends enjoyed their fish and chips—crispy and not overly moist—while the ch…

Poor thing seems be lacking a lot of TLC. From the very first front step, the poor thing is falling apart . A little bit of maintenance will go a long way to improve a place with a great view
