About Sequoia Blue Mountains
Sequoia Blue Mountains is an events venue on Cliff Drive in Katoomba, set high above the Leura Cascades. The garden looks across the Jamison Valley to Mount Solitary, and the venue hosts weddings, corporate days and Christmas events. The main building began life as the Leura Falls Kiosk, an early 1900s cottage that has long been a local landmark on the escarpment. Today it is a federation-style bungalow with high ceilings and an enclosed veranda that wraps around the dining room. The restaurant is a warm, light-filled room with an open fireplace and oversized windows facing the garden. It suits smaller events, seating up to 40 guests or holding around 80 for a cocktail-style function. For weddings, a garden pavilion can be set up beside the restaurant. It has glass walls from floor to ceiling and a clear roof, and it opens straight onto the garden and the ceremony spot. Catering follows four sample menus: roving canapés, a share-style table menu, a formal plated dinner and a conference menu with morning tea, buffet lunch and afternoon tea. A beverage menu is offered alongside, and vegetarian dishes are marked on each menu. Corporate groups use Sequoia for team building, conferences, product launches and cocktail events. Several short bushwalks to nearby waterfalls and cascades start from the property, so a walk can be built into the day.
