About Megalong Creek Estate
Megalong Creek Estate is a boutique, family-run vineyard on Aspinall Road in the Megalong Valley. The grapes are grown on the property, and the cellar door pours its single-vineyard wines on weekends. The setting is the draw for couples. Rows of vines run towards towering sandstone cliffs, alpacas graze near the tasting area, and the valley name is said to come from an Aboriginal word meaning the valley under the rock. For full weddings the estate offers venue-only hire for groups of 50 to 150 people. It is a DIY arrangement, so couples bring their own style and set their own budget, with hire starting at $6,000. Smaller celebrations suit the elopement package, which runs Monday to Friday for the couple and up to two witnesses. A coordinator helps plan the day, a civil celebrant handles the short ceremony and the legal paperwork, and a photographer spends 45 minutes with the couple. The elopement also covers flowers for the couple, a drink before the ceremony, and celebratory drinks afterwards with a grazing board and a small cake or cupcakes. Extra guests, transport, a pre-wedding spa treatment for two and a longer photography package can be added at extra cost. The cellar door itself is a converted shipping container and barn fitted with a purpose-built tasting bar, looking out across the valley. Send an enquiry to check dates for a wedding or elopement.

How much does it cost to hold a wedding at the estate?
Venue-only hire for a wedding starts at $6,000. The weekday elopement package starts at $2,500 for up to four people, with add-ons charged separately.
What does the elopement package include?
It includes a coordinator to help with planning, a drink on arrival, a civil celebrant for a short personalised ceremony and the legal paperwork, and a 45 minute couples photography session with 20 edited digital images. Flowers for the couple are included, along with drinks after the ceremony served with a grazing board and a small cake or four cupcakes.
