About Norman Lindsay Gallery

The Norman Lindsay Gallery was once the home of Norman Lindsay, the painter and author, and his wife Rose, on Norman Lindsay Crescent in Faulconbridge. Cared for by the National Trust, the sandstone cottage now displays his paintings, etchings and ship models, along with his original studio. For events, the draw is the grounds. Formal lawns are set with fountains and sculptures of nymphs and satyrs, the verandahs carry wisteria that flowers purple in spring, and a short bushwalk leads to views over the Grose Valley. Wedding ceremonies and private outdoor functions take up to 150 guests, with three-hour hire running between 10am and 4pm. A combined ceremony and afternoon reception allows up to six hours for the vows, photos, a pre-reception gathering and the reception itself. Smaller groups are looked after too. Micro weddings for up to 35 are priced on enquiry, and photo sessions for proposals, engagements and weddings suit up to 20 people for two hours. The gallery stays open to visitors during bookings, so hired areas are shared rather than exclusive, though the gardens are large enough to give each event room. Indoor events inside the gallery are considered by special request only, and events after 4pm can be discussed. There is plenty of street parking plus off-street disabled parking, and a ramp leads into the gallery. Winter days in the gardens can be cool, so guests should dress warmly; send an enquiry to check dates.
