About Long Alley Barn
Long Alley Barn sits on Lawson Park, an off-grid, eco-minded property in a private valley at Hartley Vale on the edge of the Blue Mountains. The old farm barn was reworked with a master craftsman into a cosy retreat looking out over the whole valley towards its cliffs. It is built for small occasions: elopements, micro weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and get-togethers with friends. The barn can also be booked as a short stay, sleeping four across a king loft and a queen bedroom. Indoors, the barn and its verandah seat up to 10 for a private dinner by the stone fireplace, or hold up to 20 for a casual gathering. Elopements in the barn run all year for 2 to 16 guests, and the venue works in any weather for events of up to 20. Outside, the bushland terraces host ceremonies year round for up to 30, with casual receptions during daylight saving. The garden and its studio take formal or casual events of up to 30 from mid-October to mid-May, with day, sunset or evening hire until 10pm, and marquees can be added for larger events in that season. Food comes from local caterers, and the owners will put you in touch with them to plan a menu. Wedding inclusions cover ceremony chairs, a floor mat, glassware, seasonal garden flowers, and use of the boardwalk, BBQ area and forecourt. Weekend events include at least one night's stay for two. Paths are flat but unsealed and the bathroom is up five steps, so mention any access needs when you send an enquiry.

Elopement packages for the couple alone start from $1,500 for morning or lunchtime weddings from Monday to Thursday, and from $1,800 for afternoon or sunset weddings from Tuesday to Thursday. They include four hours of hire, outdoor ceremony setup, vendor coordination, a witness, a posy and a grazing platter for two.
