About Port Kembla Golf Club
On Golf Place in Primbee, Port Kembla Golf Club runs a par 72 championship course, south of Wollongong city. Its clubhouse doubles as a function venue, and the club's events team runs weddings, birthdays, engagements, formals and end-of-year parties for the public. There are two main spaces. The Clubhouse is the heart of the building, holding the main bar behind a wall of glass, and it suits relaxed stand-up events for up to 175 people. The Melaleuca Room sits privately at the back of the club with its own course outlook and a flexible layout for up to 130 at banquet tables or 175 standing. Food is handled in-house. Cocktail menus cost $38 per person for six items or $48 per person for eight, while plated two and three course menus and a shared menu are priced between $60 and $75 per person, with minimum guest numbers applying. Drinks can run as an all-inclusive package of tap beer, house wines, sparkling and soft drinks, from $30 per person for two hours up to $60 per person for five. Hosts can instead open a bar tab with a limit they choose, and soft drink packages cover guests who aren't drinking. The club can quote on extras such as balloons, chair covers, a DJ or MC, live music, karaoke and a photo booth. Each date takes just one wedding, with decorated golf carts for photos and an on-course ceremony option, and there is free parking on site.
