About Veriu Randwick
Veriu Randwick is an apartment hotel on Belmore Road, the main shopping strip of Randwick, run by the Veriu Group. It works well for the guest who wants a flat rather than a hotel room: people flying in for a wedding at Royal Randwick or a Coogee venue, families gathering for a 50th or 60th, or parents in town for a UNSW graduation. Every suite has a kitchen, so you can do breakfast and late snacks at home, and there's no restaurant or café in the building to rely on. There are three suite types. The Veriu Suite is a 20 m² studio for up to two, with a queen bed, a kitchen with stovetop and microwave, a washer and a furnished balcony. The One Bedroom Suite runs to 47 m² and takes three, adding a separate bedroom, a dishwasher, an oven and a washer and dryer. The largest is the 76 m² Two Bedroom Suite for up to five guests, set up as a king and a queen (or a queen and two king singles) with a sofa bed, plus a full kitchen, laundry and balcony. Twin rooms are available, cots can be arranged at reception for a charge, and the Wi-Fi is free. The University of NSW is under a kilometre away, the Randwick hospitals about a ten-minute walk, and Royal Randwick Racecourse about 1.25 km. Coogee Pavilion is roughly 1.7 km off, Centennial Park and the Entertainment Quarter around 2.5 km, and the Hordern Pavilion and the SCG and Allianz Stadium precinct each about a ten-minute Uber. The CBD is about 6 km away and Sydney Airport under 7 km. Secure parking is available for a nightly fee if booked ahead, and guests can borrow the hotel's Lekker bikes free of charge.

How far is Veriu Randwick from the racecourse and other event venues?
Royal Randwick Racecourse is about 1.25 km away and Coogee Pavilion about 1.7 km. The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park is around 2.5 km, and the hotel puts the Hordern Pavilion and the SCG and Allianz Stadium at about a ten-minute Uber ride.
Can we book a block of rooms for wedding or party guests?
Yes. Veriu treats five or more rooms, or eleven or more people booked and paid for by one organiser, as a group. Its groups coordinator on 1300 964 821 puts together a quote at discounted group rates, with housekeeping frequency set to suit the stay.
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes, there is secure on-site parking at $35 a night. It has to be booked in advance through reception or the reservations team, and the car park has a height limit of 1.90 metres.
What are the check-in and check-out times, and what if we arrive late?
Check-in is guaranteed from 2 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Reception is staffed 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 4 pm on weekends, so call the hotel on (02) 9326 4919 beforehand if you'll arrive outside those hours. Late check-out, when available, is $30 an hour between 11 am and 2 pm.
