Adina Apartment Hotel Coogee Sydney stands on Coogee Bay Road, about 200m up from Coogee Beach and roughly 8km from the Sydney CBD. It is an apartment hotel, so visitors get a kitchen and, in the larger apartments, a laundry, rather than a standard hotel room. That works well for families and friends travelling to Sydney for a wedding, a big birthday or a reunion in the eastern suburbs who want a beach base with room to cook, rest and get ready between events. The hotel is part of the Adina brand, with its Australian head office in Ultimo. There are 86 rooms in total. Studios measure 19 square metres, take two guests in queen, king or twin bedding and have a kitchenette with microwave and fridge. One-bedroom apartments are 41 square metres with a balcony and take two or three. Two-bedroom apartments of 55 square metres, and the 60 square metre Family Two Bedroom Apartment made up of two connecting rooms, sleep four or five. The one- and two-bedroom apartments have a full kitchen with oven, cooktop, dishwasher and full-size fridge, plus their own washer and dryer. Cots are free. The heated indoor pool and gym are open from 6am to 10pm, although swimming lessons use the pool on weekday mornings from 7am to 10am. The hotel has no restaurant or breakfast service, but cafés such as Tropicana Cafe and Cali Press are close, as is the Coogee Pavilion. Royal Randwick Racecourse and the Sydney Cricket Ground are nearby. Secure undercover parking costs AU$35 a night, and one meeting room, the Courtyard, holds up to 40 theatre style.
