About Spicers Potts Point

Spicers Potts Point occupies three Victorian terrace houses from the 1880s on Victoria Street, restored and fitted out as a small luxury hotel with sixteen rooms and four suites. The heritage bones are still there, from marble fireplaces and tall sash windows to decorative cornices, alongside air conditioning and modern bathrooms. It is a calm, adults-leaning place to stay for couples and small family groups travelling in for a wedding, an anniversary or a significant birthday, and the whole property can be taken over by one group through the reservations team. Rooms start with the Queen Room, a 19 square metre room on the first floor, then step up to the 30 square metre King Room and the 32 square metre Luxe King with a large standalone bath. The two suites, the Victoria Suite and the Victoria Terrace Suite, are each a little over 42 square metres with a freestanding tub, and the Terrace Suite adds its own outdoor terrace. King rooms can be made up as twins on request and rollaway beds can be added for a fee. Every booking includes breakfast from a seasonal à la carte menu, and guests share a library lounge, dining room and reception bar. The hotel sits between the CBD and the harbour. Kings Cross station, Circular Quay and Woolloomooloo Wharf are all walkable, with the McElhone Stairs giving a shortcut down to the wharf, and the Royal Botanic Garden and Art Gallery of NSW are within walking distance. There is secure undercover parking for a fee, with limited spaces, and staff can book airport transfers or rideshares though there is no hotel shuttle. For pre-wedding drinks or a small dinner, the Garden Room holds 30 for cocktails.

Room rates are not listed on the website; they vary by date and room type and show up when you check availability through the hotel's online booking. Full payment is taken to secure a booking, and the hotel is cashless. Parking is available for an extra charge, rollaway beds cost extra in the larger rooms, and food and drinks carry a 10% surcharge on Sundays and 15% on public holidays. Visa and Mastercard payments attract a 1.5% card fee.
