ADGE Hotel & Residences is a 254-room boutique hotel on Riley Street in Surry Hills, on the edge of the CBD. It stands out for its design: swirling colourful carpets, bold bedheads and murals, and it has collected several boutique hotel awards in recent years. For a guest flying in for a wedding, a big birthday or a work event, it offers a lively neighbourhood base with bars and restaurants on Crown and Oxford Streets at the door and the city a walk away. Rooms cover a wide spread. Queen, twin and accessible queen rooms are 22 to 24 square metres, the King Room 28, the King Balcony Room 34 and the Deluxe 36 with a lounge, kitchenette and balcony. The Triple Room has three single beds, which suits friends sharing costs. For families, the Two Bedroom Residence has 60 square metres and sleeps four, and the split-level Two Bedroom Loft Residence runs to 70 square metres with skyline views. Every room has a SMEG fridge, Nespresso machine, smart TV and APOTHICALS bathroom products, and the apartments come with a washer and dryer. Yes, on-site parking off Riley Street costs $40 overnight, valid until 11am the next day. Spaces can't be pre-booked, clearance is 1.8 metres, and the tight ramp doesn't suit large SUVs. Secure Parking on Goulburn Street is the fallback.
