About Sydney Acoustic Duo

Sydney Acoustic began as a single acoustic duo and has grown into a small collective of hand-picked performers, all chosen by founder Ali Zoghi. Ali is a singer and percussionist with a music degree who has played more than 1000 events, over 700 of them weddings, in Sydney and overseas. His earlier recordings as Ali & Alana are still used by couples for aisle songs and first dances. Today his signature duo is Ali & Jordyn, with both singing lead over guitar and live percussion. Because Ali's own availability is limited, the roster includes other duos: Jordyn & Ethan, Bobo & Jono (whose sets use live looping), Dom & Glenn on keys and guitar, and bilingual pair Mel & Jose, who can include Spanish songs. Soloists include Jose, Jordyn and Angel, and the three-voice Sydney Acoustic Soul trio can lift the energy into a dance floor before a DJ takes over. Most performers hold music degrees, and the collective plays weddings and executive events. For weddings, you choose the ceremony songs and the duo shapes the aisle music live. For other sets it picks songs to suit the moment, or it can send a set list for you to mark up. Song requests are welcome with at least a month's notice. The acts bring their own PA and can't perform without one, and where there's no power there are battery or generator options, usually limited to about two hours. Performance Details

Each act brings its own PA system, and battery or generator setups are available where there is no power, typically for about two hours. A run sheet is needed for weddings so the music lands at the right moments, and most planning is done by phone or video call.
