About Lights to Party
Lights to Party is a husband-and-wife hire business run by Neil and Vicky out of Frenchs Forest on the Northern Beaches. It grew out of their own garage parties, when passers-by asked whether the lasers and smoke were for hire, and today the stock covers sound-activated disco lights, lasers, strobes, UV black lights, follow spots, moving heads, mirror balls, festoon strings, snow and smoke machines, projectors and wireless microphones. There is also a range of illuminated furniture: glow cubes, spheres, curved bars, bench seats and plinths. Most hirers start with a package rather than individual lights. The entry kit pairs an LED crystal ball with a manual smoke machine for $70, and the REVO4 package adds a stand to a pattern-changing dance floor light for $110. Beyond that are themed bundles for 80s, 70s and 60s parties, Vegas nights, winter wonderland, black light discos and Halloween, milestone kits for 16ths, 18ths, 30ths and 50ths, school disco and fundraiser packages, wedding uplighting, pool party lights and several glow furniture sets. Single items can be added, such as a manual smoke machine at $30 or an automatic phaser at $65. Hire is priced for a 24-hour period. Orders under $100 are collected from Frenchs Forest by appointment; larger orders can be delivered, set up and collected the next day, with the delivery fee starting at $50 and rising for tolls, paid parking, stairs or out-of-hours times. The team services NSW only and will quote travel for events more than two hours away. It suits house parties, school halls, clubs, weddings and corporate functions, and the team can also refer you to partner suppliers for sound, photo booths, marquees and furniture.

What is the cheapest lighting package Lights to Party hires?
The LED Crystal Ball and Smoke Machine package is $70. It is a floor-standing light that throws coloured dots across walls and ceilings, with a manual smoke machine so the beams show up.
Can I pick the lights up myself?
Yes. Pick-up from Frenchs Forest is free and arranged by appointment, usually on the morning of your event. Orders under $100 must be collected, as delivery and set-up starts from a $100 minimum order.
How much is delivery and how long is the hire?
Delivery starts from $50 depending on where you are, and standard delivery sets up between 9am and 4pm with collection the next business-hours day. Prices cover a 24-hour hire, and late returns without notice are charged an extra day.
Will a smoke machine set off the fire alarm?
It can. Battery alarms can be disconnected, but hard-wired alarms that report to a monitoring company need to be isolated by a professional. Any call-out fee from the fire brigade is the hirer's responsibility.
Do they cover events outside Sydney?
They service NSW only. Sydney metro events are standard, and events more than about two hours' drive away may carry extra charges for travel, accommodation and freight, negotiated case by case.
