About The Belmore Hotel
The Belmore Hotel is a long-running pub on High Street in the middle of Maitland, with a bistro, sports bar, beer garden and rooms upstairs. Its function offer spreads across five areas, so a group can take anything from a corner for ten to a crowd of around 160. The Belmore Room is the main private room, set up for about 65 guests and wired so you can plug in your own music. The hotel uses it for its own events too, which gives a feel for how the room works for birthdays and work get-togethers. Bel's Bar is open to the sky and holds up to 80 people, with a very large screen for big games or a slideshow. The sports bar suits a more casual crowd, with pool, a jukebox and seven TVs showing live sport. Bigger parties can take half or all of the beer garden, which has its own big screen and the option of a private bar. Booking the full garden comes with a minimum spend, while the other spaces need only a deposit. Food comes from the hotel kitchen as shared platters or a plated alternate-drop menu. Platters feed about 12 people each, from antipasto and sliders to ribs and wings or a hot and cold seafood spread, and the set menu runs to two or three courses. Drinks packages cover three hours, starting with tap beer, house wine and soft drinks and stepping up to house spirits or a choice of cocktails. There is no room hire on a single-space booking, and the deposit is put towards food or drinks on the day.

Enjoyed my stay here but got thoroughly fed up with climbing stairs. All the rooms were on the first level so no choice to avoid them (and I did know they didn’t have a lift). Rooms had relatively recently been renovate…

Great compact room which was clean and presentable has fridge, toaster and jug. Comfy bed, great shower and new t.v and aircon. As the rooms are above the pub, the sound from the band emanated upstairs, especially on wee…
