About St Alma

St Alma is a Mexican dining room and cocktail bar on Albert Street in Freshwater. It opens for dinner from Tuesday and for lunch as well from Friday to Sunday, built around tacos, shared plates and agave drinks. The room is low-lit and lively, with a long bar where walk-ins can sit from 5pm. Groups take long tables, and the whole venue can be booked for a private event. For groups of eight or more, the kitchen serves set sharing menus. The grazing menu starts the table off, the six-course Trust the Chef menu goes further, and The Alma Table pairs six courses with two hours of house drinks. Expect guacamole, ceviche, empanadas, tacos and plates from the grill such as snapper, octopus and agave short rib, with churros to finish. Many dishes are gluten free or dairy free, and the kitchen asks to hear about allergies when you book. The bar pours margaritas, palomas, mezcal cocktails and Mexican beers. A house drinks package can be added to any set menu, along with a cocktail, prosecco or Champagne on arrival. The events team handles birthdays, work lunches and full venue hire. A surcharge applies on weekends and public holidays, and a cake can be sourced and decorated for you. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers.
