About North Bondi RSL
North Bondi RSL sits on Ramsgate Avenue above the northern end of Bondi Beach, and its windows look along the full stretch of sand. By day it runs as a casual club with a café and bistro, and in the evenings the sunset over the water sets the tone. The club takes private functions, corporate events and product launches as well as social celebrations. Its rooms can be set up for a standing cocktail party or a seated dinner, and the functions team tailors a package to the group. Food comes as canapé platters of 25 pieces, two- or three-course set menus, or a buffet. Platters range from party pies and arancini to oysters, kingfish sashimi and baked scallops, and the set menus and buffet need at least 25 guests. The buffet is priced by the number of dishes chosen – six, eight or ten – with salads, roast beef, pork belly and lasagne among the options. Seafood upgrades such as Balmain bugs, tiger prawns and whole baked snapper can be added at an extra charge per option. Drinks run on packages: a standard package with tap beer, house wines and soft drinks, a premium package with a wider wine list, and a deluxe package that adds spirits, RTDs and a personal bartender. Cocktails such as an Aperol Spritz or a margarita can be added to the deluxe package. The club also offers Christmas packages for end-of-year events. The set menus offer entrées like salt and pepper squid or grilled prawn salad, mains from chicken schnitzel to beef eye fillet and barramundi, and desserts such as sticky date pudding or crème brûlée. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes are marked on every menu.
