About Andre's Hire
Andre's Hire is an Australian-owned, family-run party equipment hire company that has been operating for more than thirty years from a warehouse and showroom at 67 Dickson Avenue in Artarmon. The catalogue is built around functions: tables, seating, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, silverware, bar and catering equipment, lighting and decor, all for hire rather than sale. The team works with private clients, event planners, corporate clients, caterers and community groups, and their gear turns up regularly at venues including Fort Denison, the Botanic Gardens lawns, Carriageworks, Paddington Town Hall and a long list of clubs and galleries around the harbour. Ranges are deep and brand-led. Crockery runs through Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Villeroy and Boch, vintage high tea trios and a black Nero line. Glassware covers Plumm crystal, Schott Zwiesel, Arcoroc and polycarbonate for poolside and outdoor jobs. Cutlery comes in gold, black, copper, bamboo and several traditional patterns, and seating spans bentwood chairs, tolix-style stools, cross-backs, folding chairs, high chairs and timber benches. Banquette tables build out in one-metre modules to seat anywhere from eight to thirty-two, and event extras take in market umbrellas, heaters, partitions, candelabras, glow balls, three-tier cake stands and lighting. The site also publishes theme guides for christenings, cocktail parties, conferences, corporate events, dinner parties, high teas, school fundraisers, vintage styling and weddings. Pricing is quote-based. You add items to a quote cart on the site and the office returns an itemised quote the same or next business day. Delivery and pick-up are charged separately and quoted on the delivery suburb, based on standard access within twenty metres of the truck; difficult access is charged as labour at $44 per man hour including GST. Five small trucks cover Sydney and reach Wollongong. The showroom is open by appointment, and the office and warehouse run Monday to Friday.

What can I hire from Andre's Hire?

How do I get a price?
Prices are not shown on the product pages. You add the items you want to a quote cart, fill in the event details and submit it, and the team sends back an itemised quote the same day or the next business day. Hire charges run for the period booked rather than the hours actually used, and GST applies.
How far ahead should I book, and is a deposit required?
A valid credit card is held as security to reserve stock exclusively, and a security deposit of half the hire amount is due at least a week before delivery — two weeks for any delivery between 1 November and 31 December. Cancelling more than 30 days out costs nothing; from 8 to 30 days it is 35 per cent of the hire total, 3 to 7 days is 50 per cent, 1 to 2 days is 75 per cent and cancelling on the day is the full invoice.
Do they deliver, and how far?
Yes, across Sydney from the CBD to the North Shore, Hills District, western suburbs, eastern suburbs and the Sutherland Shire, and down to Wollongong. A fleet of five small trucks means tight spaces, small laneways and narrow driveways are workable. Delivery and pick-up are charged separately and quoted for the suburb, assuming standard access within twenty metres of the vehicle.
What condition do items need to come back in?
Crockery, cutlery, glassware and barbecues must be returned clean or a cleaning charge applies, and deep fryers returned with oil attract a cleaning and oil disposal fee. Linen does not need washing but must go back dry, as mildewed linen is charged at full replacement value. Everything should be stacked and packed back into the boxes and containers it arrived in, or repacking charges apply.
