About Marcus Luc
Marcus Luc is a Sydney magician who got hooked on magic at eight, after watching David Blaine's Street Magic special. He spent years learning sleight of hand, first as a cardistry performer (the art of card flourishes), where he invented a move of his own and built a following of more than 16,000. His first paid job was a restaurant Christmas party in 2012, which turned into two years of weekly bookings there. He went full time straight after the HSC and has since worked on cruises, at dinner shows, for members of parliament and at corporate events. His speciality is close-up roving magic. He moves from group to group, and much of the trick happens in the guest's own hands. His set includes card tricks, coin magic, vanishes and mentalism. The mentalism includes predictions, such as naming a celebrity that singer Conrad Sewell would pick, written down months ahead. He also does magic shows for a seated or standing audience as well as roving sets. Marcus works at corporate and private events alike. His client list includes the NRL, BMW, The Star, Subaru, Mazda, IBM, Arnott's, Rheem, McDonald's, St George Bank and Coca-Cola. He takes bookings for weddings, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate functions, trade shows and gala dinners.
