About Duke Music

Duke Music is the live act of Josie and Tim, two career musicians who have been performing together for more than a decade and still play most weekends. They have more than a thousand performances behind them, mainly at weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations, and their corporate work includes being a preferred supplier to Qantas and Audi and playing the launch of Neil Perry's first class menu. The emphasis is on reading the room rather than running through a fixed playlist. There are three broad formats. The wedding package covers ceremony, cocktail hour and reception sets, with repertoire built around the couple's brief and run sheet planning done directly with Josie and Tim, and acoustic, party band and DJ options available. Corporate bookings come as a duo, trio or full band, typically three 45-minute sets or a minimum three-hour call, with background music played between the live sets. Private events such as milestone birthdays and dinners can be booked as an acoustic duo or trio or a full band, with set lengths shaped around the evening. Past line-ups have added saxophone, and extra musicians can be added on request. All sound equipment is supplied for corporate bookings, and every enquiry is answered by Josie or Tim themselves, usually within the day. The duo is based in Cremorne and performs right across Sydney, and travels throughout NSW, with recent weddings in the Blue Mountains, Wollombi, Kiama and Oberon. It suits couples and event planners who want a live act that can cover a whole day, from a quiet acoustic ceremony through to a full dance floor.
