About Toronto Hotel
The Toronto Hotel has stood on Victory Parade since 1887, right on the edge of Lake Macquarie. Its wide verandahs look across the water towards Belmont. The hotel is open seven days from 10am until late. Alongside the main bars it runs a bistro, a large beer garden with a big screen, TAB facilities, a bottle shop and accommodation. Functions are held in The Mulberry, the hotel's dedicated function rooms. The name goes back to the 1830s, when a dairy farm and orchard surrounded the site and its huge mulberry trees gave the area the nickname Mulberry Hill. The Mulberry is fitted out with elegant interiors and its own bar, with water views from its lakeside position. It is set up for weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, retirement parties and corporate functions. The bistro serves lunch and dinner every day and suits a relaxed family meal or a casual celebration with friends. Guests travelling in for a wedding or party can also book a room at the hotel. Capacities, menus and pricing for The Mulberry are not published, so send an enquiry with your date, guest numbers and style of event to get the details.
