About Silks Function Centre @ Muswellbrook Race Club
Muswellbrook Race Club holds its race meetings at Skellatar Park on Racecourse Road in Muswellbrook, in the Upper Hunter. Between race days, the club hires out its function spaces for weddings, birthdays, corporate events and meetings. Silks Function Centre sits on the upper level of the club's main building, alongside the members' lounge. It looks straight out over the track and the grounds, which give the room its outlook. Set up for dining, it seats around 200 guests. The club has two other areas that can be booked for events. The Garden Bar & Café is a ground-floor room that opens onto the gardens and lawn, seats about 40, and has air conditioning with log fires lit in winter. Extra seating can be set out in the gardens when numbers grow. The grounds take in a large undercover area, shade trees, lawns and garden beds. They suit outdoor wedding ceremonies, big company gatherings and family events in the open air, with Silks upstairs for the reception or dinner afterwards. The club doesn't publish function prices or menus, and quotes packages once it knows the details. Send an enquiry with your date, the occasion, rough guest numbers, start and finish times and the space you have in mind – Silks, the Garden Bar or the grounds.
