About The Eveleigh Hotel
The Eveleigh Hotel has been pouring beers at 158 Abercrombie Street in Redfern since 1879, a short walk from the railway tracks. It is a pub built around conversation rather than screens: there are no pokies and no TVs, just a pool room, a bistro menu of burgers, schnitzels and steaks, and live music through much of the week, from acoustic sets on Thursdays to jazz on Sunday afternoons. Three rooms take private bookings. The Side Room opens off the main bar and has booth seating for up to 20, which suits birthday drinks or a meeting that rolls into the afternoon. The Salon is a bright room with a vintage feel that can be booked as a half room for 20 or in full for 50, and works for long-table lunches, team dinners and birthdays. Upstairs at The Ev, the pub's own band room, is the most flexible space, fitting 50 standing or 24 seated with room to move and dance; it gets used for milestone parties, engagements, fundraisers, private screenings and gigs. Every function comes with food and drink packages the team shapes around your event, plus staff who help you run it on the day. Prices for those packages aren't published, so send the enquiry form with your date, start time, guest numbers and occasion, and the pub will come back to you. The Eveleigh trades from noon to midnight most days and closes at 10pm on Sundays.
