Citadines Walker North Sydney is an apartment hotel run by The Ascott Limited, taking up 19 floors of a 48-storey tower at 88 Walker Street. It is a practical base for someone crossing the bridge for a wedding, a milestone birthday or a work function: reception is staffed around the clock, the Level 5 restaurant Bar Lettera serves breakfast through to dinner, and there is a free gym on Level 6 that never closes, plus a Refresh Centre with showers for guests between check-out and a late flight. There are 252 rooms in five types. The Studio, Studio Executive (22 square metres, with a microwave, king bed and small dining table) and Studio Twin (a king or two singles) suit one or two people. The Studio Premier adds a full kitchenette with a cooktop, toaster, microwave and fridge across 30 square metres, and an accessible version is offered. The Premier Suites on Level 23 have a separate bedroom and living room with sofas and a kitchenette, and there are only a few of them, so book early for a big weekend. All rooms have a walk-in shower, desk, Chromecast TV, robes and a safe. The Victoria Cross Metro entrance is roughly 400 metres away, and trains reach Barangaroo in about three minutes and Martin Place in five. On foot, the hotel puts Luna Park about 15 minutes away and the Harbour Bridge about 20. Circular Quay is 3.8 kilometres off and the Opera House 4.9. Parking is through DIVVY at a nearby car park and spaces are limited, so ask the hotel to hold one.
