Cooking Classes Bondi

Group cooking in Bondi on Party Hero is a little different from a standard class. Our Big Kitchen, known as OBK, is a community kitchen on Flood Street run by a registered charity. Groups who book a session cook and pack meals that go out to more than 33 partner charities, and the kitchen says it produces over 250,000 meals a year. So rather than cooking a meal for yourselves, your team or party spends the session making food for people who need it. It suits a workplace looking for a volunteering day, or friends who would like a celebration that gives something back.

How a group session works:

• Getting there: the kitchen is on Flood Street in Bondi, an easy trip for groups based in the Eastern Suburbs.
• The experience: the session opens with an introduction to OBK and who the meals help, then everyone takes part in the OBK Challenge by cooking a hot meal.
• Group size: corporate bookings need a minimum of eight people.
• Booking lead time: half-day sessions run from 9am to 12pm or 12:30pm to 3pm, so pick a slot and lock it in early.
• Food and drinks: the meals you cook go to partner charities, and lunch for your group can be added to the booking.

Corporate team-building starts from $90 per person plus GST, for two and a half to three hours in the kitchen. The finished meals can be packed with your company logo, and photos are welcome throughout. Private groups are hosted too, from birthdays, hens parties and kitchen teas to baby showers, graduations, challah bakes and family get-togethers.
