About Festival Hire
Festival Hire is a family-owned business working from a yard on Highgate Street in Auburn. The name describes the work: they supply the structures that turn an open paddock, a park or a carpark into somewhere you can hold an event. Councils, music promoters, charities and government agencies make up much of the client list, alongside private functions and weddings. Marquees are the core of it. Wide clearspan frames come in 3m, 6m, 8m, 10m, 15m and 20m widths, extending in 3m or 5m bays, with no centre poles to work around, and there are 3m and 10m curve-frame versions for something less conventional. Walls come in white, cathedral or clear, roofs in white, clear or black depending on the size, and every structure can be pegged or weighted for a hard surface. Pagodas run 3m x 3m up to 6m x 6m, complete with walls and wall bars, and lightweight pop tops cover the smaller jobs. For markets and school fetes there are standard 2.4m x 2.4m stalls with three serving tables, premium coloured stalls with matching tops and skirts, double-width stalls at 4.8m and 3m x 3m market stalls. Staging runs from 2.4m x 1.2m modular decks up to six mobile stage units, the smallest 7m x 6m and the largest the 9m x 9m Goliath, each with a black backdrop, stairs, banner bars and internal trussing, with drum risers and extra drapes as options. Filling out the rest are trestle tables, folding and monobloc chairs, ottoman benches, market umbrellas, mushroom heaters and BBQs, ply and pro-floor flooring, carpet tiles, parquetry and a black and white dance floor, marquee lighting from 400w floods to 20m fairy light strings and rice paper ball lights, tested and tagged power distribution, and portable toilets, toilet blocks and hand wash basins.

What size marquee will I need?
Wide clearspan frames start at 3m wide and go up through 6m, 8m, 10m, 15m and 20m, with the length made up in 3m or 5m bays, so the footprint is built to your space rather than picked off a shelf. If you are not sure, the Auburn team will work it out with you over the phone on 1300 761 799 against your guest numbers and the site.
Can you put a marquee on concrete or asphalt?
Yes. Every clearspan structure and pagoda can either be pegged into ground or weighted down where pegging is not possible, which covers carparks, courts and paved courtyards. Let them know the surface when you enquire so the right ballast goes on the truck.
What does it cost?
Festival Hire does not publish rates. Pricing depends on the structure size, how many days you need it, the site and what goes inside, so quotes are done individually through the enquiry form or on 1300 761 799.
How far do you travel?
Sydney and the Central Coast are their home patch, and they also work into the ACT, Victoria and Queensland. Marquees for regional field days and country festivals are a regular part of the job, so distance is generally a matter of transport cost rather than a hard boundary.
Can I hire lighting, power and toilets at the same time?
Yes, and it is usually the point of using them. Marquee lighting runs from 400w floods and fluro tubes to 20m fairy light strings and 60cm rice paper ball lights, power comes as 3-phase distribution boxes with 10 and 15 amp outlets plus cabling and cable jackets kept tested and tagged, and hygiene covers portable toilets, toilet blocks with washbasins and 50L hand wash basins.
