About Whole Venue @ Club 77
Club 77 has anchored Sydney's underground nightlife on William Street for close to three decades, and the whole venue is available for private hire. It's a single open-plan room full of character: floor-to-ceiling framed portraits, original hardwood, red dimmable low-hanging lights and a deliberate dive-bar grit of graffiti and worn edges. It looks nothing like a standard function room, which is exactly the appeal. The technical setup is a step above most party venues. It has a professional-grade sound system, a DJ booth with industry-standard gear, a microphone and PA, lighting and production, and video and podcast recording facilities. There's also a cloakroom, a ticket booth, a prep kitchen, a cool room and a rear-lane loading dock. A full-service bar with tab options runs the drinks, in-house security is available, and the club can connect you with its network of local DJs and performers. The room holds up to 180 guests standing or 100 seated. It's a strong fit for big birthdays, launch parties, ticketed events and anything that wants a real club atmosphere. Events are strictly 18+, and the entrance is up a flight of stairs.
