About Sorrento Golf Club
Sorrento Golf Club sits on Langford Road in Sorrento, towards the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula, and has been a golf club since 1907. Its clubhouse looks across a coastal links course and takes bookings for weddings, corporate events and corporate golf days through its events team. The main function room is the Peninsula Room, which looks over the first hole and holds up to 200 seated guests or 250 for a cocktail-style event. In the main club room, tall glass doors open onto a wide deck, so a reception can move between inside and out. Smaller groups have two choices. The Conservatory, with big windows facing the 18th hole and the gardens, suits lunches and relaxed gatherings of up to 40, while the Peter Thomson Room seats up to 26 beside the barbecue deck and a wall of golf memorabilia. The club's chef builds menus with each host, from a casual barbecue or a sandwich and wrap spread through to roaming canapés, banquet dining and plated three-course dinners using local produce. The bar pours beer, wine and spirits, and the Terrace Bar above the 18th green works well for a casual reception. A microphone and screen are on hand in the Peninsula Room for speeches and slideshows, and the smaller room can be set up as a boardroom with AV. Corporate golf days can pair a round with morning tea or a three-course lunch, so send an enquiry to check dates and talk through menus.
