About Silvercat Wedding Cars
Silvercat Wedding Cars is a small, owner-operated vintage car business based in Sydney, and it has been driving couples to Blue Mountains weddings since 2012. Its own Katoomba page lists Springwood, Faulconbridge, Linden, Woodford, Lawson, Hazelbrook, Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba, Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mount Victoria among the towns it covers. The fleet is three cars. The 1949 Jaguar MK V, fitted with air conditioning, a sunroof, red leather and rear-hinged coach doors, carries the couple or up to three passengers, and the 1956 Jaguar MK VII seats four or five for bridesmaids or family. Then there is the open-top Porsche 356 Speedster in silver, a two-seater that takes a single passenger next to the chauffeur and is often booked for the groom, a getaway or a photo shoot at a lookout. Each booking includes the car, a uniformed chauffeur who turns up 15 to 30 minutes early, and a run sheet covering the route, photo stops and timings. George often drives himself, and the team knows the Mountains venues and the extra traffic on busy weekends. Prices are published. Two hours in the MK V is $715 and five hours is $1,210, while two hours in the Porsche is $880 and five is $1,650, and Mountains bookings carry a travel fee – $220 for each Jaguar, $440 for the Porsche. Viewings can be arranged before you commit.
