About Melbourne DJ Services
Melbourne DJ Services, based in Melbourne, supplies DJs and MCs for winery weddings, milestone birthdays, engagement parties and corporate functions across the Yarra Valley. The crew has worked more than 700 events, and you plan the night with the DJ directly instead of through an agency. Planning starts with your list: preferred genres, up to 40 songs you want played and any you never want to hear. The DJ keeps the music gentle through arrivals and dinner, makes sure speeches come through clearly, then lifts the dance floor once guests are ready. Genres range from chart hits, house and R&B to rock, disco and throwbacks spanning the 80s through the 2000s. Estate venues often come with access times, sound limits and moves between indoor and outdoor spaces, and the team works these through with the venue and your run sheet. Each booking brings Pioneer CDJs and mixer, a white booth, speakers, party lighting and a wireless microphone. Larger packages add uplights, 360-degree tube lights, haze where permitted and a dry ice machine for the first dance. Team MCs can handle introductions, speeches, presentations and announcements, which suits wedding receptions and gala dinners. Setup and soundcheck start as much as an hour before the event, and pack-down is included at no extra cost. To get a quote, send an enquiry listing the date, the venue and roughly how many guests are coming, and travel to the valley will be included in it.

Frequently asked questions
Does the team play at Yarra Valley wineries?
Yes. Weddings, private parties and corporate functions throughout the Yarra Valley are covered. Send the venue, date and timings so availability and logistics can be confirmed, with travel included in the quote.
How much does a DJ cost?
Three hours of DJ, sound and standard lighting is listed at $750, four hours at $800 and five at $850, with party packages starting at $799. Weddings, MC services, extra lighting and travel to the valley are priced separately.
Can we pick the songs?
Yes. Send preferred genres, must-plays and a do-not-play list ahead of the event. The DJ treats them as direction rather than a fixed playlist, so suitable requests and the crowd's response can still shape the set.
What do outdoor vineyard events need?
For outdoor areas the team checks access, weather cover, noise limits, where the gear will sit and the power supply with you before the day. Sorting those details early keeps the setup clear of the formalities.
How do we lock in the date?
A $200 deposit locks in the date after you accept the quote, and the balance is paid about a week out. You then fill in a planning questionnaire covering the music and the order of the night.
