About Rachel H Photography
Rachel Hewson trades as Rachel H Photography from her studio in Hazelbrook. Her wedding work makes the most of the Blue Mountains landscape – couples on clifftop lookouts, valleys falling away behind them and the warm light late in the day – and her images have a crisp yet dreamy finish that can resemble a painting. As well as wedding days and elopements, Rachel photographs surprise proposals, such as one at Peckmans Plateau in Katoomba, and couple sessions in the bush. Shoots are kept light-hearted: there is no forced posing, just conversation and real moments between two people. Couple sessions start with a planning conversation to choose a location that suits you, then the shoot itself, an in-person presentation of the finished images and a design consultation. The session fee starts at $150 on a weekday and $250 on a weekend, and includes a $100 print credit. Rachel puts a strong focus on printed work. Options include 10 x 10 inch lay-flat albums with leather, linen, silk or image-wrap covers, plus canvas, acrylic, woodblock and framed prints, all made in Australia. Matching digital files come free with print and wall art purchases, and payment plans are available. Send an enquiry to talk through your wedding plans.
