About Liam Foster Photography

Liam Foster is a photographer and videographer who lives in Springwood and has called the Blue Mountains home for around two decades. Most of his weddings take place in the Mountains, at venues including Mount Booralee Estate in Blackheath, the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, Lawson Park and Megalong Lot 101 in the Megalong Valley, as well as on clifftops for couples eloping with just a celebrant. His focus is elopements and micro weddings rather than large all-day celebrations, and he no longer takes on traditional weddings of more than 120 guests. The style is relaxed and unposed – his aim is to help couples feel comfortable enough to enjoy themselves. Liam learned on analog cameras, and every photography package includes a roll of colour and black-and-white 35 mm and 120 mm film; whole weddings can be shot on film if you prefer. Packages run from two to four hours. Photography includes one photographer, an unlimited number of digital images (usually 400 to 800 or more), a sneak peek within 24 hours and the full private online gallery within six weeks. Videography includes a five-minute highlight film and the uncut ceremony, delivered within 12 weeks, with Super 8 film as an option. Couples who book both are covered by Liam and a second shooter. Travel within the Blue Mountains is built into every package, and the final payment is not due until your gallery or films are delivered. Frequently asked questions

How much does wedding photography cost?

Photography starts from $1,470 for two hours, $2,200 for three and $2,940 for four. Videography is $1,700, $2,550 or $3,400 for the same lengths, and booking both saves $200.

There is no cap on numbers – most couples get somewhere between 400 and 800 or more. A handful of preview images arrive within 24 hours and the full gallery within six weeks.

Can our wedding be shot entirely on film?

Yes. Every photo package already includes a roll of 35 mm and 120 mm film, and Liam can photograph the whole day on analog cameras if that is what you want.

Liam helped make our day even more special. We got along straight away with a pre wedding meet (which we mainly ended up chatting about dogs) but this meant we got to know each other early on. This reflected beautifully…
