About SpinPod 360

SpinPod 360 is a 360 video booth company based in Sydney that takes its booths up to the Blue Mountains for weddings, birthdays and work functions. Its own site describes a Blue Mountains garden wedding of 50 guests that chose the Light it Up package. An operator stays with the booth all night, starting each spin and keeping the line moving. There are two styles of booth. The platform booths come in BlackTop and GlassTop finishes at three levels: Spin it Up (the entry level, lit by four photo LEDs), Light it Up with velvet stanchions, a red carpet, LED lighting and your own overlay or logo, and Glam it Up with the SpinPod HUB or an LED backdrop for a semi-enclosed look. The SpinPod ORB is different again – its camera sits on a separate mount, there is no step up, and up to ten people fit at once, which makes it easy for kids and wheelchair users. Every level comes with unlimited spins, a soundtrack you choose, instant sharing to phones and an online gallery that stays up for a year. Standard bookings last three hours, the crew delivers, sets up and packs down as part of the price, and more hours can be added when you book. Plan for a flat, dry patch roughly 3.5 metres square, with 3.2 metres of headroom and a power point within 10 metres. For an outdoor set-up at a garden or lawn venue, the booth needs a roof overhead and cover on at least two sides. Their public liability cover is $20 million, and equipment is tested and tagged monthly.

Pricing

The SpinPod ORB package is $900. On the BlackTop platform, Spin it Up costs $1,200, Light it Up $1,300 and Glam it Up $1,800, while the same three levels on the GlassTop platform cost $1,280, $1,380 or $1,900.

Each package covers three hours. Arranged before the event, one extra hour is $200, two are $300 and three are $450, and an LED strip backdrop adds $300. Extending on the night is charged at $100 per half hour, and a 30% deposit holds the date with the balance due 14 days out.

Equipment & Service Details

Platform bookings use a BlackTop or GlassTop 360 booth with photo LEDs, and the higher levels bring in a red carpet, stanchions, LED lighting, plus an LED backdrop or the SpinPod HUB. The ORB sits on the floor inside a low enclosure about knee height, with its camera on a separate mount.

An operator looks after the booth from start to finish, and the crew handles delivery, set-up and pack-up. Food, drinks, chairs and lifting people onto the booth are not permitted. A cancellation more than 30 days before the event refunds the deposit less a $100 admin fee.

Frequently asked questions

Does SpinPod 360 take bookings in the Blue Mountains?

Yes. They advertise 360 booth hire in Katoomba, and their site describes a Blue Mountains garden wedding where 50 guests used the Light it Up package. Send an enquiry with your venue and date to check availability.

What does a SpinPod 360 booking cost?

The SpinPod ORB is listed at $900. BlackTop platform packages run from $1,200 for Spin it Up to $1,800 for Glam it Up, and the GlassTop range goes from $1,280 to $1,900, with three hours included in each.

Can the booth be set up outdoors at a Mountains venue?

It can, provided the spot is flat and dry, roughly 3.5 metres square with 3.2 metres of clearance, and has power within 10 metres. Outdoors it also needs cover overhead and on at least two sides, so plan for a marquee or covered area.

Can guests with limited mobility use it?

Yes. The SpinPod ORB is set at floor level with no step, holds up to ten people and suits children and wheelchair users, with the camera rig mounted apart from the guests.

When should we lock in a date?

For a Saturday or a December work party, SpinPod 360 recommends booking six to eight weeks out, and allow around four weeks for custom branding or motion graphics. Their busiest stretch is October to March.
