About Paul Osta Photography
Paul Osta is a photographer based in Melbourne with more than twenty years behind the camera and over 500 weddings photographed, a good number of them in the Yarra Valley. His galleries include receptions at Stones of the Yarra Valley and Vines of the Yarra Valley and a micro wedding at Balgownie Estate. He also photographs engagement parties, birthdays, family get-togethers, launches, fundraisers and work functions. He works in a candid, modern way, blending in with the guests rather than lining everyone up. That means speeches, first dances, cake cutting, a busy dance floor and the quieter moments in between, with vineyard light and open landscapes used for portraits. At parties and launches he leans into mood, working with light, shadow and colour. Wedding coverage is not capped by the hour. He photographs both sets of preparations, the ceremony and family groups, then portraits and a location session, staying on until the reception formalities are done and leaving room for sunset photos when the day allows. Couples get the full set, typically 800 to 1000 photos, edited in both colour and black and white at print quality and shared through an online gallery with a slideshow. Albums made in Australia and backed by a lifetime warranty can be added, as can frames and canvases, and he takes on a limited number of weddings each year.
